What Is SEC Daily?

SEC Daily is a free, real-time tracker for SEC filings — the mandatory disclosures that every public company in the United States must submit to the Securities and Exchange Commission. These filings contain some of the most important investment signals available: insider stock purchases, institutional ownership changes, quarterly earnings reports, and material corporate events.

The SEC publishes this data publicly, but navigating EDGAR — the SEC's official database — can be overwhelming. SEC Daily makes this data clean, searchable, and easy to monitor in real time, so you see what's happening at any public company the moment it's reported.

When a CEO buys shares in their own company, SEC rules require them to report it within two business days via a Form 4 filing. When a hedge fund crosses 5% ownership in a stock, they must file a Schedule 13D or 13G. When a company issues a major announcement, it appears in an 8-K. All of these events flow through SEC Daily in real time.

New to SEC filings? Our educational guides explain what each form type means and how to use the data in your own investment research.
